In just his first full season on the PGA TOUR, Camilo Villegas (pronounced Ka-mee-low Bee-jay-gaas) became one of the most popular players in the world. Known for his flashy apparel, long drives and commitment to physical fitness, Villegas’ game speaks for itself: he has ranked within the Top-10 of the PGA TOUR over 25 times since 2006.

Villegas’ unique putting style has garnered significant attention. While he reads a putt, he crouches down parallel to the ground without touching it, extending his left back while balancing with his right leg and his putter to get a better view of the slope of the green. It has earned him the nickname “Hombre Araña” (Spider Man) for his posture.

In 2008, Villegas participated in the TELUS World Skins Game for the first time and defeated a field featuring Fred Couples, Colin Montgomerie, Mike Weir and Greg Norman with 10 skins for $230,000.
